India’s food delivery industry has grown rapidly over the past decade, but despite its size, it still faces persistent challengesrising delivery costs, high commissions for restaurants, and customer concerns around reliability. Determined to address these gaps, Rajat Dubey is launching Hover Feast, a new-age food delivery platform that aims to set new standards in speed, trust, and customer satisfaction.

A Journey of Learning and Returning

After completing his higher studies abroad and working as a software engineer in Europe, Rajat spent several years gaining exposure to global practices and living in diverse cultures. These experiences gave him valuable insights into efficiency, customer experience, and sustainability. Choosing to return to India, he came back with a clear vision: to build something that not only grows as a business but also creates a tangible social and economic impact.

“I wanted to come back and build something meaningful here in India. Food delivery touches millions of lives every day, and I saw the opportunity to create a platform that puts customers, restaurants, and delivery partners at the center of the experience,” Rajat explains.

The Birth of Hover Feast

Hover Feast is positioned as a challenger brand in a market dominated by big players. The startup is launching with three clear promises:

Faster deliveries, supported by strong partnerships with fleets, including electric vehicle providers for sustainable operations.

Fairer terms for restaurants  to help even small and mid-sized outlets thrive.

Customer-first experience, ensuring trust, quality, and reliability in every order.

Unlike existing platforms, Hover Feast plans to balance the ecosystemensuring delivery partners are fairly compensated, restaurants are not overburdened by commissions, and customers enjoy both speed and quality.

Creating Local Impact

The platform will give visibility and growth opportunities to small neighborhood restaurants that often struggle to compete with big chains on larger apps.

“Our mission is very clear,” Rajat says. “Hover Feast is here to support local businesses, create employment, and give customers a better alternative. When all three pillars—restaurants, riders, and customersare empowered, the ecosystem becomes stronger.”

Future Vision

Rajat envisions Hover Feast as more than a delivery appit will be a brand of trust and quality, representing a new way of thinking in food-tech.
